Azure Managed Services Support Consultant

  • We are seeking an experienced, well spoken, Azure Managed Services Support Consultant to join a high performing and growing team. You will be required to implement and support Microsoft Azure cloud-based deployments.  Critical to the role is your proven experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.  The varied nature of the role demands both lateral thinking and creativity to successfully resolve client issues.

You will be responsible for the following.

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support and assistance to client end-users.
  • Ensure support cases are managed through to a confirmed resolution in a timely and efficient manner, and ensuring accurate records are kept of each support case.
  • Perform troubleshooting tasks, problem diagnosis, resolution, or escalate further to specialist teams
  • Work towards the continuous improvement of the Managed Services Team by expanding your product knowledge and internal systems awareness.
  • Provide exceptional customer services and assist in identifying areas for improved customer service and support.
  • Ensure that you understand the clients’ solutions to ensure that you can provide support for newly implemented and enhanced systems.
  • Install, configure, administrate, manage, and support Azure compute instances.
  • Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
  • Research products and new technologies to increase the efficiency of business and operations.

    • General Storage – NAS, SAN, Storage Accounts
    • Azure Backup, Azure SQL Backup
    • Microsoft SQL back-ups and restore
    • Physical to Virtual conversion – Azure Site Recovery
    • Antivirus – Trend Micro, Symantec Endpoint protection, Webroot (Install, maintain, clean infected viruses/malwares/Trojans)
    • Web servers - IIS, Apache
    • DNS
    • Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, Azure Active Directory, AADDS
    • Group Policy Management
    • Remote Desktop Services
    • SSL Certificates (applying, renewing, troubleshooting)
  • Experience working with ticketing and monitoring tools such as Labtech and N-Able.
  • Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud based deployments.   
  • Ability to remotely support multiple clients across various deployments.
  • A friendly, positive, and customer-driven attitude
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) (Required)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant Microsoft Azure Administrator Experience
  • Must have a hands-on experience in system administration of Windows server-side infrastructure, manage virtual networks and machines
  • Strong knowledge of various cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, & SaaS)
  • Must have hand-on experience with implementation, management, and support of Azure Virtual Desktop environment and FSLogix (REQUIRED)
  • Rare after-hours support
