Will the archiving of GL transactions affect the GP Dynamics Datamart® for Financial Reporting?

Company Data Archive has the ability to transfer and/ or Transfer & remove data from the list of tables listed on page 49 of the CDA Manual usually available at the following location ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP 10 or GP 2010 or GP2013 or GP 2015\Documentation)

• Basically if a Transfer onlyis completed,

As long as the GP Dynamics Datamart is pointing to either the live or the archive company database, the report generated will produce the data pertaining to either the live company or the archive company.

If GP Dynamics Datamart is pointing to both company database, you may see some duplicate entries on the report.

• If a Transfer & Removeis completed,

The GP Dynamics Datamart will need to point to the archive company to retrieve the records.

It may also point to both the live and the archive company as the master records from both the live and the archive company database will merge whereas the transactional data that have been removed from the live will only be available in the archive company.
