Please copy the CDAProcs.dat and CDAProcs.idx files to the Data folder where you have Dynamics Installed.

Symptoms

When installing CDA, you received the following message:

Please copy the CDAProcs.dat and CDAProcs.idx files to the Data folder where you have Dynamics Installed.

Reason(s)

The following are the reasons why this error populated:

1. The CDA Stored Procedures Files CDAProcs.dat and CDAProcs.idx have not been copied in the Data subfolder of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP10 or GP 2010 or GP2013 or GP2015 \Data)

2. The CDA Stored Procedures Files CDAProcs.dat and CDAProcs.idx are marked as ‘Read Only”

Resolution

• If the CDA Stored Procedures Files CDAProcs.dat and CDAProcs.idx are located in any other location other than the Data subfolder of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP10 or GP 2010 or GP2013 or GP2015 \Data),

Please ensure to move them accordingly to the data subfolder of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Folder.

• Ensure that both files have full permissions and are not marked as “Read Only”

After completing these steps, logged in Microsoft Dynamics GP ®, please go to 

Tools >> Utilities >> System >> Company Data Archive Install >>Make sure that you are logged in as the System Administrator ‘sa’>> Mark both ‘Create/Upgrade Tables’ and ‘Install Stored Procedures,’ and click OK.

The installation process will ensure the proper rights are given to the new tables and procedures used by the company data archive process.
